What Hercules Works Is, in One Paragraph
Hercules Works is a market research and survey platform for India, made by Jupiter Meta Labs in Hyderabad. You describe the decision you need to make. The platform drafts the brief, picks a research design, writes the questionnaire and its routing logic, and checks it against a quality rubric. The survey goes to our consumer app, where verified, anonymous members answer it. The analytics engine then turns the responses into cross-tabs, significance tests, coded open-ended answers and a report.

Before your first study you will have questions; the short answers are below, each with a link to the page that goes deeper. The product's own help centre is at /help.

Hercules Works Is Not Hercules AI
Several unrelated products use the name Hercules, including ones marketed as Hercules AI and a site at hercules.app. Hercules Works is the research platform at hercules.works, and the SuperJ app is where its respondents answer surveys. If you searched for one of the others, this is not it. If you want to survey Indian consumers, read on.
How a Study Runs
- Brief. You describe the decision in plain language. The platform turns it into research objectives and a design.
- Questionnaire. AI drafts the questions, routing and screener, and checks them against a quality rubric. You edit before anything is fielded.
- Fieldwork. The survey is shown in our app to members who match your targeting. Responses are screened for speeders, straight-lining and inconsistent answers.
- Report. The analytics engine computes the statistics in SQL over the response data and writes the report, which exports in Markdown, HTML and PDF.
Two ways in. Quick Insights skips the survey builder: you type one question and answers from real people arrive as they come, with automated screening. Guided Workflow is for a bigger question. You pick a use case such as product testing, brand health or pricing research and choose the metrics. A survey is generated, ready to launch. Question types include single and multi-select, rating scales, grids, ranking, open text, MaxDiff, and image, video and audio stimuli. Routing covers skip logic, screen-outs, quotas, carry-forward, loops and piping.
The step-by-step version is in how to run a study and the technical version in the 7-step survey pipeline.
Who Answers
Members of our consumer research app. It has 2 crore Indian respondents, and the verified, survey-eligible panel is a subset of them. Members span many consumer categories and include professionals; for a specific professional audience, ask for a feasibility count. Most members are in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi, and any Indian city can be targeted.
Each member completes Aadhaar-based KYC once, so one person cannot hold several accounts. For each study the platform receives a zero-knowledge proof that the respondent is verified, not their identity documents. A record of the verification is stored on JMDT, Jupiter Meta's own blockchain. Respondents stay anonymous to researchers. The limit: it is app-based, so it reaches smartphone users; offline households need face-to-face fieldwork. Details are in the panel methodology.
Members answer in the app, which is on Google Play and the App Store. Researchers use the web platform; there is no separate researcher app.
What You Can Target
Any Indian city, gender (male or female), age bands from 18 to 90, NCCS A1 to C1 and behavioural segments, with interlocking quotas. Region is not a single field; reach a region by naming its cities. Buyers or users of a category or brand are found with a screener question inside the survey. Surveys run in as many Indian languages as the study needs; confirm a specific language when briefing. Income bands are not a targeting field.
See NCCS classification explained and survey audience targeting in India.
Audiences You Can Reach
Members are everyday consumers across many categories, and they answer surveys in exchange for rewards. To reach the buyers or users you need, a study combines targeting with a screener question. Ask for a feasibility count for your exact audience. Guides by audience:
Start From Your Business Question
Not sure which study to run? Match the decision to a method first; the questionnaire follows from it.
| Your question | Start here |
|---|---|
| Which study fits this decision? | Which research fits your business decision |
| Should we build this product? | Survey customers before you build |
| Is this startup idea worth pursuing? | Validate a startup idea |
| What do people think of a government policy? | Run a policy opinion survey |
| How do younger consumers differ? | Compare Gen Z and Millennials |
| Which study types exist? | Market research study types |
| I want to answer surveys, not run them | Spot a genuine survey app |
What It Costs
Free to start with 30 responses. Plus costs ₹150 per response from 100 responses. Pro costs ₹120 per response in bundles of 400 to 1,000. Enterprise pricing is custom and adds a dedicated research team, custom study design and qualitative work such as focus groups and in-depth interviews. Respondents and analysis are included in the per-response price.
| Responses | Plan | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | Free | ₹0 |
| 100 | Plus | ₹15,000 |
| 400 | Pro | ₹48,000 |
| 1,000 | Pro | ₹1,20,000 |
Plans are on the pricing page. Worked budgets for concept tests, ad pretests, trackers and usage studies, and how survey tools and agencies charge instead, are in what market research costs in India.
What we would do. We would run the exact questionnaire on the Free plan first and read the open answers before paying for anything. One audience, one read: Plus is enough. Comparing cells: go straight to a Pro bundle and size each cell for the comparison, not the total.
What the Platform Does Not Do
It does not guarantee response quality, representativeness or a particular outcome; quality checks remove flagged responses, but a study can still be badly designed. Nor does it replace professional, legal, academic or domain judgement. The report should be read by someone who understands the decision. There is no standard turnaround time, because fill speed depends on how narrow the audience is. Choice-based conjoint is not a product feature, although the method is explained in the conjoint analysis guide. Offline households are out of reach.

The SuperJ network has 2 crore Indian respondents. The survey-eligible panel is a subset, and availability depends on your targeting. Members complete Aadhaar-based KYC once, and each study receives a zero-knowledge proof of verification. Surveys run in as many Indian languages as the study needs. Quality checks flag speeders, straight-lining and inconsistent answers. Read /panel-methodology and pricing.
The limit: the app reaches smartphone users only, so offline households need face-to-face fieldwork.
Frequently asked questions
Is Hercules Works the same as Hercules AI or hercules.app?
No. Hercules Works (hercules.works) is a consumer research and survey platform for India by Jupiter Meta Labs. Other, unrelated products also use the name Hercules. The SuperJ app is where Hercules Works respondents answer surveys.
Is the platform free to use?
Yes, to start. The Free plan includes 30 survey responses from our panel and needs no credit card. Paid plans are ₹150 per response on Plus and ₹120 per response on Pro.
Is there a Hercules Works app?
Researchers use the web platform at hercules.works; there is no separate app for creating studies. The app is for respondents: SuperJ, on Google Play and the App Store, where members answer surveys for rewards. Searches for "hercules app" usually mean one of those two things, or an unrelated product with the same name.
What is the difference between Quick Insights and Guided Workflow?
Quick Insights is for one question: type it, and answers from real people arrive as they come in, with automated screening. Guided Workflow is for a full study: choose a use case, pick the metrics, review the generated questionnaire and routing, then launch. Use Quick Insights to check a hunch and Guided Workflow when the decision needs a structured sample.
What qualitative research is available?
Through Enterprise: focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, moderated web-call interviews, in-home use tests and online communities, recruited from verified members. Qualitative work is quoted separately from the per-response survey price.
How many responses do I need?
Enough in every group you want to compare. A single-audience read usually starts at 100 responses. Comparing concepts, ads, cities or segments needs a large enough base in each cell for a significance test, which is why Pro bundles start at 400. The sample size guide at /blogs/sample-size-calculator-india shows the arithmetic.
Which cities, languages and audiences can I target?
Any Indian city, by gender, age band, NCCS A1 to C1 and behavioural segment, with a screener for category or brand users. Most members are in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi, so ask for a feasibility count for a smaller city. Surveys run in as many Indian languages as the study needs.
What does the report contain?
Cross-tabulations by segment, significance tests, coded open-ended answers and charts. Methods are chosen by question type: NPS, top-2-box, MaxDiff utilities, TURF, driver analysis, segmentation, penalty and JAR analysis, funnel conversion, importance-performance gaps and weighting. Numbers are computed in SQL and re-checked by a claim verifier before the report is final. Exports are Markdown, HTML and PDF.
How fast do I get results?
It depends on targeting. Broad audiences fill faster than narrow or niche segments, and multi-cell studies take longer. We do not publish a standard turnaround time, so treat any estimate as specific to your audience.
Can agencies and consultants use the platform for client work?
Yes. Agencies run client studies the same way brands do: several studies at once, targeting on our panel, and analysed reports to deliver to clients. Because studies are priced per response, a project quote is simple arithmetic. Custom panel builds and qualitative work are Enterprise.
Can I use the platform for employee or internal surveys?
Yes, with a set-up check. The platform verifies respondents without revealing identity and returns aggregated results, so whether it fits an internal study depends on how your employees would join and take part. Confirm the set-up with research@hercules.works first.
How do I get started?
Create a free account at hercules.works, describe your research question, and launch your first study with 30 free responses. No sales call is needed. For Enterprise requirements or agency partnerships, write to research@hercules.works.
Who can use the platform?
Anyone with a legitimate research purpose: market and consumer research teams, product and growth teams, UX researchers, journalists, students and academics, consultants and agencies. No technical skill is needed. Sign-up is free and open.
Does the platform collect my personal data?
At sign-in it stores your email address. Survey responses are collected through the respondent app, SuperJ, under its own privacy policy and terms, and you receive aggregated results and anonymous individual answers, never identity documents. See the privacy policy.
How is use of the platform governed?
By the Terms of Service, the acceptable use policy, the privacy policy and the payments policy, plus the respondent app's own terms where a survey is fielded there. Outputs are drafts for you to review; the platform does not make decisions on your behalf or replace professional, legal or academic judgement.
Can I share a study or conversation?
Yes. The Share button creates a link to a read-only copy that you can send to colleagues or clients.
How do I cancel a paid plan or delete my account?
Email hello@jupitermeta.io to cancel; the plan runs to the end of the current billing cycle. Deleting an account mid-cycle does not generate a prorated refund. Free accounts can be deleted under Settings, Account. Deletion is permanent and removes projects, chat history and saved settings, so export anything you need first.
